Decision Science Lab
The Decision Science Lab is a new laboratory at the Economic Research Organization focused on how people make decisions.
Principal investigator
Maria Betto leads the lab. She is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Johns Hopkins University. Her research interests include choice and decision theory, auctions, information, and mechanism design.
Research focus
The lab’s focus is decision science, a field at the intersection of Mathematics and Economics. We study the relationship between preferences and choices using an axiomatic approach. Our research is motivated by the desire to understand how people choose among alternatives and how these choices can be influenced by the way options are presented.
